SUMMARY:Ho99o9 / N8NOFACE / Slay Squad
LOCATION:X-Ray Arcade - 5036 S Packard Ave\, X-Ray Arcade - 5036 S Packard Ave\, Cudahy\, WI 53110
DESCRIPTION:KICKSTAND PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS\nLIVE MUSIC / ALL AGES\n6:30PM DOORS / 7:30PM MUSIC\n$28 CASH DAY OF\n\nHO99O9\nWhen the duo of Yeti Bones and theOGM kicked in the doors of the music industry\nin 2014 with an iconically off-the-rails set at the Afropunk festival\, they set\na noisy new standard for industrial-grade\, punk-influenced hip-hop\, colliding\nthe DMX and Bone Thugs they grew up listening to in Jersey headfirst with bands\nlike Bad Brains and the Ninjasonik that they absorbed after discovering the NYC\nDIY scene. With a steady stream of mixtapes\, EPs\, singles\, and their 2017 debut\nLP United States of Horror\, they’ve continued to raise the bar for sonic chaos\,\ndrawing critical raves\, building a cultishly devoted following\, and earning the\nrespect of iconic audio anarchists like Mike Patton (who invited them to open\nfor Mr. Bungle and Dead Cross) and The Prodigy (who featured them on the 2018\nsingle “Fight Fire With Fire”).\n\nN8NOFACE\nHe’s been described as a Chicano Flannery O’Connor playing chiptune Ministry\,\nthe Sleaford Mods of the American Southwest\, Suicide for the 21st Century and\nGhostmane meets darkwave synthpunk dashed with early Ween’s glue-huffing pop.\nLyrically\, his sometimes romantic\, oftentimes violent storytelling tunes lean\ntoward Narcocorrido\, the bloody ballads of Mexican drug cartels. It sounds dark\non the surface\, but really N8NOFACE’s music is a lot of fun\, and as exciting and\ncathartic as the birth of punk rock and hiphop.\n\nSLAY SQUAD
