SUMMARY:A Very Lynchian Halloween: Red Quean w/ Lily Slay & the Vertebrae \, & Iris Marlowe (Chi) * October 30\, 2026
LOCATION:Linnemans\, Linnemans\, 1001 E Locust St\, Milwaukee\, WI\, 53212\, United States
DESCRIPTION:Lily Slay has a voice like velcro\, molasses\, and campfire ashes. Milwaukee by way of Charleston\, SC\, she cut her teeth playing with The Royal Tinfoil\, slingers of rock Americana\, garage blues\, dumpster pop\, and pluff mud party jazz debauchery. Slay and her impressive wig collection now call the Cream City home\, where she’s working on a solo project true to her wild brand of camp and whimsy mixed with anti-fascist anthems. \n \n\nRed Quean is an old English word for a disreputable woman. Red is the color of roses and blood. Red Quean is a band from Milwaukee\, WI that blends violent femme energy\, distorted experimental guitar\, jagged synths and danceable beats to carve out a riot wherever they tread. \n \n\nIris Marlowe is an alternative-country songwriter that uses her love of classic country music to create cinematic songs that paint a southern gothic landscape. Her latest album ‘Where the Devil Bid the Owl Goodbye’ features songs driven by revenge\, terror\, and a yearning for the danger of the old west. Iris creates country music for the eccentrics and folks that are looking for something a little different in the country music landscape. \n \n\nDoors at 7:30\, Music at 8:30\, $10
